Skiing
Right next to our house you can start skiing on our local mountain, Golzentipp.
In just a few minutes, the 10-person gondola takes you from the valley station to the starting point at 2,070 meters above sea level.
Once there, both experienced skiers and freeriders will find beautiful routes to enjoy.
The two drag lifts located right next to the village are particularly suitable for children and beginners to learn to ski.
Because of its manageability and the ideal slope conditions, families feel particularly comfortable there.
The base of the Obertilliach ski and snowboard school is also located here. The Golzentipp ski area is a small but beautiful ski paradise for everyone young and young at heart who wants to conjure up some unforgettable turns in the East Tyrolean snow.

Cross-country skiing & biathlon
Obertilliach is the mecca for cross-country skiing and biathlon in East Tyrol!
With many wonderful cross-country ski trails, Obertilliach is also the ideal training area for the world's best Nordic teams.
The winter season begins in Obertilliach with the last leaves falling. At the Obertilliach biathlon and cross-country skiing center, the cross-country skiing winter starts at the beginning of November.
Stars from the Nordic camp and those who want to become one then use approximately 2 to 4 km of artificially snow-covered trails.
When the first white flakes fall from the sky, the 1.450 m high town around the Osttirol Biathlon Center transforms into a wonderful winter fairytale landscape.
On the Grenzland trail with a total length of 60 km, young and old, talented and committed people cavort... thanks to the guaranteed snow until well into spring.
The Obertilliach Biathlon Center has something to offer for everyone, regardless of whether they are amateur athletes, beginners, advanced or professional athletes.
And once a week you can test your marksmanship at the Obertilliach Biathlon Center during “guest shooting” at the shooting range.
The world-famous cross-country skiing event “Dolomitenlauf” also takes place every year in Obertilliach and usually welcomes around 3.000 participants from all over the world.
Sledging
To make your winter holiday as varied as possible, you can also swap your skis for a sledge.
The 7 kilometer long route leads from the mountain station of the gondola straight back down to the valley and guarantees fun for all ages.
If you're having fun but sometimes strenuous sledging fun, you can't miss a hearty stop for a break and you can enjoy this on the way down to the valley at the Mitterdorfer Jausenstation.
A real highlight for many guests is moonlight sledging in combination with a rustic hut evening on the Conny Alm with many unforgettable moments.
Ski tours & snowshoe hiking
Obertilliach and the whole of East Tyrol is truly an insider tip for ski touring and snowshoeing!
Deep snow-covered forests, beautifully situated alpine pastures and lonely mountain peaks.
Away from the marked pistes, in East Tyrol, in the "land of over 260 three-thousanders", you will of course find numerous opportunities to make your tracks through powder snow or snow firn... both with touring skis and snowshoes.
Anyone who finds themselves in open terrain with skinned skis should have enough alpine experience and the necessary technical equipment and avalanche knowledge or use the services of a mountain guide. He will guide you safely and with local knowledge to your desired destination.
Beautiful views of the snow-covered mountains and a wonderful descent in deep snow are the unforgettable reward for the initially strenuous climb.
You can also start many different snowshoe hikes and ski tours directly from Obertilliach or from the Golzentipp ski area.
